  • With our [url='']image hoster[/url], we provide a reliable, secure and fast way to provide visual material throughout the EMERGENCY and Emergency Call 112 community. We recommend using the service for the presentation of screenshots with regard to short loading times and high failure safety.
For the realization of the image hoster we use an external software solution that has been specifically adapted to our needs. The use of the hosting service is free of charge for all users.

    The website

The upload page offers many different functions. The core element is the gray-black upload area, where you can upload images by drag & drop from the browser, or by clicking on "Upload".

In the upper right corner you can find the navigation menu. New images can be uploaded via the "Upload" menu item. An existing user can be logged into the system via the "Log in" menu item, a new user can be created via "Create account".

If no user is logged into the system, the user can also register a new user account at the bottom of the screen.

Currently, the following restrictions exist for uploading files:
    • Size: Maximum of 5 megabytes
    • Type: JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF

    Use without registration

The use of the image hoster is basically possible without registration of an user account. An image can be uploaded at any time via one of the three following functions on the start page:
    • By clicking on the button „UPLOAD“
    • Drag & drop an image into the black-gray area
    • Click on "Upload" in the upper right corner and follow the on-screen instructions
The last option not only allows you to add images by drag & drop or browse your own computer, but also upload images via external links („Insert image URLs“).
If one or more images were selected for the upload process, a selection of the files appears in the following window. By clicking on the circular X symbol in the upper right corner of each image, individual files can be excluded from uploading to the server. It is also possible to add further image files to the upload process via the functions mentioned in the introduction. Clicking on the green "Upload" button starts uploading the image files to the server.

    Use with registration

    Advantages of registering

The use of the image hoster via a registered user account offers considerable advantages over the use in guest mode:
    • Delete function for pictures
    • Classification in albums
    • Own profile including header and profile image
    • Privacy settings for uploaded images and albums

A login with the image hoster is detached from the user account in the EMERGENCY and Emergency Call 112 Fanforum. A separate account must be created. Registration is available via the start page and can be accessed in two different ways. The menu item "Create account" is available in the navigation bar on the right-hand side. After entering a nickname, the e-mail address and a password, the user receives an e-mail to activate his account. If the link is opened in this e-mail, the account is automatically activated and can be used.

If no user is logged into the system, the user can also register a new user account at the bottom of the screen.

    Profile page

Each registered user has his own profile page, which can be reached by clicking on the EMERGENCY Upload logo in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. The profile page essentially consists of a title picture, a profile picture, a picture view, an album view and profile management.
The title image can be edited by clicking on "Change title" in the lower right corner of the title image. For this purpose, large-format recordings are particularly suited to meet the broad spectrum of the hoster.

On the left side of the profile is the profile picture in a circle. The profile image can be edited via "Edit profile" to the right of the image. In this menu, you can also set various settings for the user account, such as changing your own e-mail address, specifying a website, or naming an additional real name to the nickname.
Among them are all uploaded images that are associated with your user account. The software distinguishes between a picture view, where all the uploaded images of a user are displayed in a collapsed view and an album view in which the images can be viewed in albums. The two views can be changed by clicking on "Pictures" or "Albums" right below the button to change the title image.

    Uploading images

Uploading pictures can be initiated on the homepage by clicking on the red "Upload" button or by clicking on "Upload" in the navigation bar. In the following view, the images can be uploaded via drag & drop, by clicking on "Browse your computer" and the selection of images from your own PC or via "Insert image URLs" via various online sources. After selecting the files, a summary of the images selected for uploading is displayed. By clicking on the cross in the upper right corner of each image, a file can be removed from the collection. On the left hand side of the Upload button, the private sphere setting is also available, which when the lock symbol is closed prevents public viewing of the images and only displays them for the user account. Clicking on the green "Upload" button initiates uploading the images.

    Insert uploaded images

When the upload process is completed, the following view shows "Embed Codes". With the help of these URLs and codes, the uploaded images can easily be integrated into other pages. EMERGENCY upload offers the following options:
    • Links
      • Viewer link
      • Direct link
The "Links" category is a classic hyperlink, which can be copied into the browser's URL to access the page, or distributed via e-mail and messenger services. The viewer link switches to the classic viewer page of EMERGENCY upload, where additional options are available.
Using the direct link, the image can be viewed directly with the URL in the browser.
    • HTML-Codes
      • HTML (Medium image link)
      • HTML (Preview link)
The HTML codes are particularly useful for inserting images into web pages. For this purpose, a HTML code is generated which can be directly used further. With "Medium image link" is a thumbnail of medium size is linked with a link to a full view of the image. The "Thumbnail link" links a preview thumbnail in classic thumbnail size with a link to a full view of the image.
    • BBCodes-Codes
      • BBCode (Medium image link)
      • BBCode (Preview link)
The BBCodes are especially suitable for inserting the pictures in message boards. A BBCode is generated for this purpose, which can be directly used further. With "Medium image link", a thumbnail of medium size is linked with a link to a full view of the image. The "Thumbnail link" links a preview thumbnail in classic thumbnail size with a link to a full view of the image.
The embed codes can also be called up via the "Embed Codes" option when viewing individual images directly in the selection menu.

    Manage albums

The management of your own albums can be accessed via the user's profile page. In the white area on the right side of the screen is a link "Albums", which allows access to the general album management. In order to edit individual albums, only the mouse has to be moved over the respective Albumg, followed by a menu on the right side of the screen preview, in which various options can be selected:
    • Mark: For multiple selection and editing multiple albums
    • Edit: Customize the title and description of the album
    • Album: Move the contents of the album to another or new album
    • Delete: Removing the album and content
To create new albums or to move pictures to existing albums, the picture host offers three different ways:
    1. Directly through the general album management by clicking on "Album" in the hover menu
    2. Directly through the general image management by clicking on "Album" in the hover menu
    3. After the upload process by clicking on "new album" or "existing album" (see screenshots below)
